This Privacy Policy describes how Dough Dog, Inc. (“Dough Dog,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with our website, applications, platform, subscription management tools, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Dough Dog provides subscription and membership technology for Shopify merchants. In many cases, we process information on behalf of merchants who use our Services. Those merchants are responsible for their own customer-facing privacy policies and for providing any required notices and obtaining any required consents from their customers.
We may collect the following categories of information:
Merchant Account Information
We collect information about merchants and their authorized users, such as names, business names, email addresses, account credentials, contact details, store information, configuration settings, and other information needed to create and manage a Dough Dog account.
End-Customer Subscription and Order Information
When a merchant uses Dough Dog, we may process information about the merchant’s customers, subscriptions, memberships, orders, products, shipping details, preferences, subscription status, cancellation or pause reasons, add-ons, and related metadata.
Technical, Device, and Usage Information
We collect technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, referring URLs, interaction data, log data, cookies, and similar technologies. We use this information to operate, secure, measure, analyze, and improve the Services.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies for authentication, security, analytics, service functionality, performance measurement, and improvement of the Services.
Dough Dog does not collect or store credit card numbers or full payment card information. Payments are processed by Shopify, Shopify Payments, or other payment providers made available through Shopify or the merchant’s store.
We may process payment-related metadata, such as subscription status, billing attempts, order status, payment method references, transaction status, or other information necessary to operate subscription and membership functionality. We do not have access to full credit card numbers.
We use information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- create and manage merchant accounts;
- process and manage subscriptions, memberships, orders, add-ons, pauses, cancellations, reactivations, and related workflows;
- support customer service and merchant support;
- authenticate users and protect account security;
- detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical issues;analyze usage, performance, and service reliability;
- develop and improve product features, including automation and AI-powered features;
- generate aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified insights;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Where we use AI-powered features, we use information to provide and improve those features. We do not use end-customer personal information to train general-purpose AI models unless we have appropriate rights or permissions to do so.
We use analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to understand how users interact with our website, applications, and Services; measure performance; improve functionality; troubleshoot issues; and protect the Services.
Google Analytics and similar tools may collect or receive information such as IP address, device identifiers, browser information, pages visited, referring URLs, interactions with the Services, cookies, and similar technical or visitation information. Where applicable, this information may be associated with merchant account information, subscription information, order metadata, or other service-related information so that we can operate, analyze, improve, and secure the Services.

Users may be able to manage cookies through browser settings, device settings, cookie banners, or other available controls. Some analytics or service functionality may not work properly if cookies or similar technologies are disabled.

Service Providers
We share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate the Services, such as hosting providers, infrastructure providers, analytics providers, customer support tools, security providers, communications providers, and other technology vendors.
Shopify and Merchant Integrations
Because Dough Dog operates in connection with Shopify stores, we may share information with Shopify and merchant-authorized integrations as necessary to provide subscription, membership, order, inventory, customer account, payment, and related functionality.
Merchants
For end-customer information processed through the Services, we make information available to the merchant that owns or controls the applicable Shopify store.
Legal and Safety Purposes
We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with law, legal process, governmental requests, enforce our agreements, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud or abuse, or respond to security or technical issues.
Business Transfers
We may disclose or transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction.
We do not sell end-customer personal information.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Merchants are responsible for maintaining the security of their own accounts, stores, devices, credentials, and authorized users.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support legitimate business purposes.
Merchants are responsible for providing appropriate privacy notices to their customers and end users, obtaining any required consents, and ensuring they have the necessary rights to provide information to Dough Dog for processing.
This includes responsibility for disclosures related to subscriptions, orders, customer accounts, cookies, analytics, marketing tools, integrations, and any association of customer data with visitation, analytics, or usage information.
The Services are not intended for individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Because Dough Dog supports merchants that may sell products for children or families, we may process order or subscription information submitted by adult customers or merchants in connection with those purchases. Merchants are responsible for complying with laws that apply to their own customer relationships.
Dough Dog is operated from the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate.
Depending on your relationship with Dough Dog and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information.
